How can you help but feel
What a lovely day. Warm sunshine, blue (finally) skies, and Brooklyn in bloom. Walking down the streets, we traded compliments with our neighbors about the the weather, but it felt more like congratulating one another for surviving the winter.
"How can you help but feel this is the happiest day of your life?" I asked one gentleman we passed. "It's so beautiful!"
"Ah, shouldn't every day be the happiest day of one's life?" he agreed.
Today, this was my recipe for a happy day:
1. Picking up a book at the library I requested months before I expected it.
2. Stopping by the bank for money for our upcoming New England adventure.
3. Writing for two luxurious hours at Blue Sky Bakery.
4. Exploring the neighborhood gardens with Lucy on the way home (pictured above).
5. Joining Amelia's class for a walking trip to the frozen yogurt shop as part of their "Our Neighborhood" unit. (And partnering with Amelia's teacher in a creative and exciting surprise for the students.)
6. Talking to Amelia's teacher about the great story she's writing. Sending her home with this amazing audio book I found by this friend's recommendation.
Pure bliss, I tell you.

Well finally a picture of Lucy. But it made this grandma want to hug her so much. So mom you have to give her a big hug for me. Her hair has grown so much. She is looking more like a little girl instead of a baby. Lots of love Anne
So precious. Love the sweater! :) If that were Makayla, she would be ripping those flowers to shreds! Glad you finally have some good weather. You deserve it! Love you.
