in good company

I am so tired tonight. It's not even 8:30pm and I'm ready to hit the sack. Still, I feel compelled to check in, to say we're vacationing, we're playing in sunshine, in nature. To say we're with people who love us, who welcome us--tantrums and all--and I'm soaking it in. The freedom to be. The breeze on the porch. The peeper frog's chorus serenading the sun to sleep. In good company, even the trying moments are more gentle.
