"Jen Lee is a pioneer. She answers a call to search more deeply, to resolve questions with truth and integrity. And--lucky for us all--she shares what she learns from her journey through teaching and storytelling so that we can gain more clarity around what is calling us and how to explore that unknown terrain with confidence and courage."

"Here's the magic about Jen Lee: No matter how deeply I think I've gone into a topic, Jen can always take me deeper. Just when I think I have something figured out, she asks a question or offers a thought that gives me a new perspective and shows me what I was missing. I live a richer creative life because of her wisdom."  --Jenna McGuiggan, The Word Cellar

Podcast: Happy New Year from Both of Us

Jen and I celebrated the New Year together, and we recorded our conversation about The Portfolio Project.  Here's part one of our conversation, along with some pictures from the day.  (There's also a podcast of this below if you'd like to hear the audio only.)  In this segment, we talk about holding onto yourself as a beginner, how we're trying to leave room for creativity as we go, and a few thoughts about New Year's Resolutions.  Oh, and I should add that we are both sick.  See if you can guess which of us will cough up a lung first.

You can subscribe to the Portfolio Project podcast here. To start at the beginning of the project, go here.

Very cool video! So encouraging! Just letting myself be in that "beginner's mind" place is what I'm working on, and letting that be ok. Exploring what it is I want to create and being patient with the process, and giving myself permission to take babysteps is what its all about for me. Happy New Year to you. 2009 is going to rock.

I really appreciate all of your insights and thoughts about doing this project. They all resonate with me exactly. I've finally put together a 'structure' and a plan for this thing...but allowed room to be creative. Thank you!

Hi there :o) This is my first podcast of yours that I have listened to, and I loved it... I'm going to listen to more now :o) I enjoyed listening to the chat... it almost felt like you two were in my living room with me talking. Is there a non-strange way of saying that? Thank you Jen!

This was quite timely for me. I've been mulling over these same issues lately. Taking smaller steps, expecting less stellar type results from my self. Just being and allowing my being to feed the project, rather than chasing after a project in order for me to be.

Still just taking it all in.
