Ease Gently Into the Day

Make yourself a cup of something soothing.

Check to see if it's just right.

Find a peaceful place in which to enjoy it, preferrably with morning light.
Regard yourself gently; remember that you are just waking, just returning from another world.
Let your hands be open and soft. Sip. Swallow. Pull it all gradually into focus.

Fantastic. Sharing with others now...
Just what I needed to hear after days of doing, doing, doing...
Glad to see you are back. Sending love your way.
Beautiful. Welcome back, Jen.
jen,
my mornings have been so rushed & full of pixilated insanity (for no reason, really). so this morning when i read your post, i said, "OK" and made myself a cup of coffee, lugged a nice comfy chair from the family room out into the backyard garden, and sat sipping with the morning sun on my face. it felt FANTASTIC! i live in a basement apartment, so if i'm working from home, it's easy for me to have entire days with hardly any sunlight... so sad. your post was really, truly, the reminder i needed.
thank you, dear.
with morning sun glistening,
rachael
This was soooo sweet...and profound at the same time - can't beat that combination!! thanks for this..and tho it's nearly noon..i NEEDED this..so i'll go back downstairs and RE-start my day.
Priceless! Is she yours?
i love this. and desperately needed it for my terribly, horribly, cold, and rainy day.

touched by these images & these words in particular, "Regard yourself gently; remember that you are just waking, just returning from another world."
thank you, Jen.

I am ready to scooch right up next to her with a cup of tea.
I have been listening to This American Life, and thoroughly enjoying it!
