Game of the Week podcast and a guest post

I'm so happy to be a guest on Karen Maezen Miller's Cheerio Road today. Go right over and read Catching Steam from a Kettle.
Today's podcast is about my game of the week: putting things in order. What could you bring order to this week? You'll be amazed at the clarity and calm that are waiting for you on the other side.

yay! been watching for your post all morn! now i'll go read it...
i'm getting our things in order to go to Waiheke Island for a 70th birthday party - it means packing light, packing pretty, and delivering 2 sheep to their new homes on the way.... lots to do but it seems i am in good company!
I so love your podcasts Jen, thank you for doing them. This week I put two things in order. I finally took all the items that were stashed in my car trunk, in bags in the corner of my room and on my balcony to the Salvation Army. Next, I cleaned my kitchen floor and windows. We had some bad fires here this summer/fall then came the winds which blew in dirt/ash on everything. It feels good to look around at what has been dogging me (energetically) from behind and see it finished. In order.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. My whole life has felt somewhat out of order lately, and finding a few minutes to focus on getting some of the little things in order is just what I need to do. Thanks for the reminder, and for the sneak peek into your life. I hope you feel better soon.
Wanted to report back that #1) I am finally caught up on the laundry! This has been a chore this week. #2) The other thing is the 6 foot table I use as a desk currently had been covered over with stuff I need to put away or throw away. Thank God, I was able to ease into it.
I could not do the table/desk straight out of the shoot today. I am tired and I didn't want to do it. My younger daughter has been fighting a little cold and not sleeping as well so I haven't either. For this very reason + my building fatigue, I was loving your post before this one saying there are some days all you can do is be gentle with yourself (although you said it so much better!).
I waited for an opportunity during nap time and did the clearing off of the table as I also took clothes to their homes. To make it fun, I made myself hot cocoa and it was smooth and lovely.
Whew! What a relief. Thank you so much for the encouragement this week to organize a little bit at a time. ;) I enjoyed hearing about how you had full access to your wardrobe - wonderful! Enjoy your weekend!
Just the encouragement I needed to finally clean out my closet! Bit the bullet and pulled out tons of things I never wear, bagged them and will drop them with the Goodwill folks tomorrow. Thanks for helping prod me along. I know this will make me feel so much better each time I open the closet door:)
