"Jen Lee is a pioneer. She answers a call to search more deeply, to resolve questions with truth and integrity. And--lucky for us all--she shares what she learns from her journey through teaching and storytelling so that we can gain more clarity around what is calling us and how to explore that unknown terrain with confidence and courage."

"Here's the magic about Jen Lee: No matter how deeply I think I've gone into a topic, Jen can always take me deeper. Just when I think I have something figured out, she asks a question or offers a thought that gives me a new perspective and shows me what I was missing. I live a richer creative life because of her wisdom."  --Jenna McGuiggan, The Word Cellar

"Marching Orders" and A Voice Recovery Revolution

Central Park at Sunset, Diana Instant+, mulitple exposures

Dusk in The Mall, Central Park, Diana Instant+

Here are a couple pics from a beautiful little date we had in the park last night.  And a podcast to start your morning and your week.  I'm talking about receiving "marching orders" and holding big dreams.  (I mention this book.) Being bold enough to say it out loud has power, so the comments are open for you to tell us the marching orders you're currently following, the ludicrous assignments you're still regarding with suspicion, or the big dreams that make you gape and stare.

I went first. You can do it, too:

I found your last statement very powerful. I've written it down and will be reflecting on it for some time. "When you get your marching orders, like little taps on the shoulders from something outside of yourself -- these are often the things that make the biggest difference to people - when we in fact say yes, and then when we follow through and finally, give it away." My shoulder's been tapped and I'm now getting in my way with fear and such ... but I need to clear and share my voice, for I do desire to contribute with significance. Thank you ...

When I finished listening, sitting alone in my house, I said aloud, "wow". My favorite was "and finally, give it away." I have taken a dream and said it out loud to the people that matter to me. These people that will be involved in my heart's desire and they have said the most supportive and empowering things back to me. They said it as I stood with fear in my heart that it was too big or only for other people to have, not me. And then I realized that it is not for me, it was for us. The giving it away was what made it breathe its first breath. That is so powerful. I loved hearing your story and will be listening again to it whenever I need it. Thank you for sharing.

I love this - as always, powerful and inspiring. I agree that giving it away can be the most powerful step of all. Thanks for being so honest with us.

And I love the image of the soft twinkle lights and the music surrounding you as you wash the dishes. Perfect.

as i sit in a pause at the junction of moving forward with so many facets of my own big dream, i am soothed by the balm of your voice. the tenderness and intimacy with which you speak is magic. the words are perfect. i feel connected and fully support the revolution.

amen, sister.

so much love, lisa

I am taking your words to heart, the bit about holding up new opportunities to the bigger dream really hits home. It can be hard to say no to anything, but when you can clarify your perspective, and really honestly look through the lens of your big dream, you can keep the space and time to make it come true. Amen to your closing lines, as others have commented. Thank you!
