Central park, Diana+

In today's podcast, I share a couple tricks I use to help me create new work.  If you have tricks of your own, leave them in the comments and so we can try them, too!

i feel like i'm never going to catch up with these podcasts -- will you be leaving them and the portfolio project ones up for a while?

this was like gold for me today. thanks for the inspiration...i especially appreciate the idea of creating gifts for people. creating for the joy, for the love. i needed that reminder.

Thank You! Listening to your voice helps to focus - just letting you speak while I do the stuff I need to do. Strange, but yes. It helps. :)

these podcasts for me are better than videos, listening and focus is easier as I don't have the distraction of watching the video combined with the listening! I was feeling overwhelmed with a project a short awhile back and a good mentor of my said "KISS" Donna, (keep it simple Donna). Bingo for me that statement was but the real kicker to actually create and put the idea on paper and present it was just "to be" and stay only in the present. Once I realized that, a few days later the project was born and date sent and a team of people have entered in to support and be excited about it with me.

funny story about the clothes you pick up in the early morning and your husband finding you with your sweater on backwards..sweet!

Beautiful podcast...love your thoughts and tips. I especially like the part where you talked about doing things fast, so you don't have time to second guess yourself. I feel like that a lot of times!

Ok.....so I will start by saying I struggle with technology.....so with that said I am dying to hear your podcasts ....yet each time I click on them nothing happens?? Am I doing something wrong? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I rely pretty heavily on 10 minute freewrites. Usually after ten minutes have passed I'm on enough of a roll to keep going and if not, I've got 10 minutes worth of raw material.

Julie--It could be a few different things. You might try right clicking the link and downloading it instead of listening to it in the web browser.
Keep me posted!

reminds me of my trauma unit secretary days, going in to work in the wee hours after getting my kids to their before school care -- popped into the bathroom after there for a while to find my shirt on backwards -- good thing i was looking for the pocket or i might not have noticed ;)
