"Jen Lee is a pioneer. She answers a call to search more deeply, to resolve questions with truth and integrity. And--lucky for us all--she shares what she learns from her journey through teaching and storytelling so that we can gain more clarity around what is calling us and how to explore that unknown terrain with confidence and courage."

"Here's the magic about Jen Lee: No matter how deeply I think I've gone into a topic, Jen can always take me deeper. Just when I think I have something figured out, she asks a question or offers a thought that gives me a new perspective and shows me what I was missing. I live a richer creative life because of her wisdom."  --Jenna McGuiggan, The Word Cellar

Yes, this podcast hit the mark with me. I know I was changed by the retreat in February, but since I've gone right back to the regular routine, it's hard to see just how. My wiser parts know to be patient and that seismic shifts will be felt and seen eventually.

Thanks for this, Jen. It was perfect timing for me. I'm lying around recovering from surgery and was beginning to feel a little bored, but your words reminded me of the value of this time - even the many naps I have each day. :-)

I needed to hear this. Lately I've also been returning to stories i love, and spending lots of time knitting and watching favorite shows. I heard somewhere that the life-forming times are the dull, in-between times - just another way of saying everything happens when "nothing's happening." Thanks for the reminder, Jen.

thank you for this podcast. it reminded me of the sacred stillness of shavasana (where everything melts into and out of the body) after an active yoga asana practice. "everything happens" in corpse pose "when it looks like no-thing is happening".

externally my life looks busy... school stuff, children stuff, art project stuff, blog stuff, social networking stuff, homebirth stuff...

internally my life is shouting stop

i had to rest for 2 hours - that deep comatose sleep where your body starts sending dreams when you have only just shut your eyes and you feel like you are being dragged into another dimension when you are woken...

so i have the pushmepullyou world happening here... and today you are my Doctor Doolittle...

I'm definitely in a "nothing happening" phase - I'm intentionally taking a two week break from blogging and spending some time soul-searching with Brene Brown's I Thought it was Just Me book and your Take Me with You journal. I've been trying to slow down on other commitments as well and have even found that my work has taken a slow turn. I had started to worry about the quietness of it all, so your words really resonated - reassuring me that good things will come of this time if I'm careful to listen and rest in it.

blessings,
Kelley

funny, just got up from a nap when I listened to your podcast! It is a habit I got back into again this week. Thanks for affirming naps as a part of the process-absolutely tracking with you!
