Short and Sweet: a podcast on finishing

The Mall in October, Central Park, Diana+I've been getting this question: Is there a waiting list for the February retreat in case of cancellations?  The answer is, yes.  It started within minutes of the retreat filling up.  Let me know if you would like to be on it, and you'll be among the first to know if I add another voice and story retreat to the calendar for spring.  That will help me measure the interest for another event.  This has been an adventure, and I appreciate every drop of enthusiasm, excitement and longing that's been expressed to me by so many of you.  I'm happy to be on this journey together across the many miles, and getting to be together face to face is just better than I can say.

Here are a few short and sweet thoughts on finishing, and then I'm off to finish some things of my own today. What could you finish today and celebrate with us?  I'm going to list my finished items in the comments throughout the day, just to keep me motivated and focused. You're invited to do the same.  Bursts like this, big or little, can be magic.

9:08PM I managed to iron two more items out of the 'too wrinkled to hang up' laundry that is mostly by husband's shirts. I de-cluttered my desk area and found something important I needed to mail. I did 2 loads of laundry. So nice! Making progress and thinking of the things I can shoot to get done tomorrow.:)

Proofread and emailed three transcripts I've been working on for months, balanced the checkbook, wrote and addressed thank you notes, ordered thank you gifts that are months overdue, paid bills and sent in the deposit for next year's meditation retreat. Yay!!

It's Thursday morning, and I'm playing this game for the rest of the week.

8:56am and I've created the last of my 2010 workshops and sent them in. This was a big one. *big exhale*

I feel like I'm gathering finishing speed. How about you?

You are so right-I also tend to leave things at the 90% complete. You have inspired me to finish that 10% . Will be working on that 10% for the rest of this week.
Thanks-it helps to know that it happens to others, too.

You will laugh - I kept this unread in my reader until I could listen to it - because I knew what it would say and I needed to really HEAR it.
So, here's to the listening, and the doing and the finishing.
